Rank Up Rules and Criteria
In NAP there are 7 different official ranks a ninja can obtain. These ranks are Student, Genin, Chuunin, Special-Jounin, Jounin, ANBU which is equivalent to Jounin rank and Master rank. In addition to these 7, there is one additional unofficial rank known as Sannin rank. The Sannin rank is only a title and may be obtained once you are known by at least three different players IC in every area of NAP. This doesn't mean that you must meet 3 different players in each area, only that your character's actions have made him/her widely known among the ninja world. A reference for this would be the Hidden Leaf's Legendary Sannin or the Hidden Sand's Gaara of the Desert. These are Wanderer and Village Ninja ranks. In addition to these, there are various ranks obtained after becoming or starting as a Missing-nin. These ranks range from E-SS and have the same rules and status as the village ranks for rank up purposes. The rules for becoming or starting as a Missing-nin can be found
HERE.
There are multiple ways of ranking up your character. This is so that if for any reason a Village or Village Leader/Kage is inactive, a player will not be stuck at a specific rank. All rank ups must be approved by a staff member. The Rank up conditions will be explained in detail below.
Jutsu Rank Up
The Jutsu Rank Up condition is pretty straight forward. By following the jutsu rules and obtaining higher rank jutsu you may be ranked up if you haven't already received the appropriate promotion. There are only 2 promotions for this Rank Up condition. They are Special-Jounin rank and Master rank. In order to be promoted to Special-Jounin rank through this method your char must know at least 2 A rank jutsu. In order to obtain Master rank through this method your character must know at least 3 S rank jutsu and one SS rank jutsu. These jutsu do not have to be in one type. You may have any number of different type of jutsu in the specified jutsu rank as long as the total number of jutsu you know meets the rank up condition. Rank up by this method requires staff approval.Village Leader/Kage Promotion
Your specific Village Leader or Kage may grant you a promotion of their choice at any time as long as they feel your character has the necessary skills to perform the duties of the rank they are giving you. An exception to this is if the Village Leader or Kage promotes you to a rank you are not yet suited for but they immediately train you themselves for 25 posts of character development and deems you worthy of the new rank. Rank up by this method requires staff approval.
Special Mission Rank Up
Each Village's Leader or Kage may occasionally post a particularly difficult mission request on their respective mission boards that offer an adequate promotion among completion of the mission as well as the normal mission rewards. All missions posted this way are subject to staff approval and any ninja completing these missions claiming the rank up reward will have the mission reviewed and approved or denied by a staff member. These missions will be limited so if you see one posted and think you are up to the task you should perform the mission before it is closed.
