The Start of New Beginnings....[P, Kaito]

Kirito had finished preparing for the surgery early this morning as promised. He had the hospital set up and had given enough of his blood to allow his friend Kaito, the Raikage, to potentially unlock the secrets of the Senju clan's wood release. The surgery had begun hours ago and was finally finished. The doctor had come out to the waiting room to let Kirito know that his friend was laying in a hospital bed recovering. Kirito would thank the doctor and head into the room he was directed to. As he entered he could see the young Raikage half sitting half lying in the bed. [b]"Yo Kaito. How you feeling?"['b]

Kaito'd wake up some time after the operation to find that he was still breathing, which meant that it was a success! He'd open his eyes to see Kirito entering the room. "Hey Kirito. I'm feeling really good right now. Man, that sake last night really got to me last night. I don't remember much. Haha. Well, I do remember a few women entering the room, but that's something for another time." The young man would smile and look outside the window to his right, letting the sunlight shine on his face. "It's so beautiful outside. How are you enjoying the day?"

Kaito seemed to be in good spirits which was great. And why shouldn't he be? He would soon be learning the secrets of wood release from Kirito himself! Kirito smiled at the mention of their activities the night before and laughed as Kaito asked how he was enjoying the beautiful day outside. "Well right now I'm in a hospital room keeping my friend company while he recovers. Well, in all honesty I actually came to undermine the hospital staff and heal you myself. I even brought a gift for the recovery" Kirito said giving a wink and pulling out a half empty bottle of sake, one of the few remaining from the night before. He tossed the bottle to Kaito then spoke again. "Now hold still so I can heal you and we can get out of here." he said as his hands started to glow and he placed them over Kaito. Kirito happened to be fairly skilled in medical ninjutsu and the Mystical Palm technique he was using would have Kaito fully recovered in no time at all. He only spent a few minutes healing the Raikage before stopping. "There. You should be ready to go now. How do you feel?"

So Kirito was here to heal Kaito himself eh? Good. That only meant that he'd be out of here faster! "Sounds good! I'm willing to say that you'll have me out in a matter of seconds." Kaito turned his head in time to see the half empty bottle of sake being pulled out; it must have been from last night. The young man would catch the bottle thrown to him, holding it against his lap. "Now this will just speed up my recovery. Haha. Thanks Kirito!" He'd sit there and allow him to heal him. The glowing palms would get to work on the Raikage, having him in good health and condition in only minutes. "That was quick! Haha. There's only one way to know how I feel." Kaito smirked and untopped the bottle, downing the remaining sake in the bottle. "I'm feeling good and ready to go!"

After Kirito had completely finished healing Kaito, the young Raikage seemed in high spirits. Kirito was ready to get out of this dreary hospital and start training him in the secrets of wood release. "Alright, you ready to get out of here? I'd like to start your training right away. Unless you have to get back to Lightning...?" Kirito was curious as to how long Kaito would be able to stay in Tanzaku. If they were forced to cut their training short, Kirito had no problems continuing the training at a later time. Besides, he still needed Kaito to get intel on the Uchiha traitor. However, while Kaito was in Tanzaku it might be the perfect time to publicly name his successor, Taika Uchiha. Kirito's plans might change depending on the answer that Kaito gave him.

"You kidding me? I'm ready to go! I actually feel more energized than usual." Kaito'd slide off of the hospital bed, noticing the fact that he had plain white garments used for patients. He'd look both to his left and right before he realized that his clothes were against a small chair. "I thought I lost my clothes for a second. Okay, let's do this." Kaito'd grab onto his gear and walk into the private bathroom belonging to the main room. It'd only take him a minute to dress himself. "Okay, I'm ready now." With the empty bottle in his hand, he'd walk out of the room. Now he was ready to leave.

Kaito was fully healed and ready to go. Good. Kirito hated hospitals. They were always so dank and gloomy and smelled like sickness. Kirito followed Kaito out of the room as he left. As the two walked, Kirito would begin to speak. "You should have access to the Senju wood release now. You will gain more control over it subtly with time. Try not to rush yourself. I will help teach you a few techniques that will help with Lightning's Jin before you leave. Oh! The four tails' Jin wouldn't happen to be a short, blonde haired boy by the name of Meliodas would it?" Kirito didn't know why he hadn't remembered this before. A young blonde haired boy had shown up in Tanzaku not too long ago with the four tails, Son Goku inside of him. He was from lightning too. Kirito laughed a little as he realized his own slowness on the uptake and waited for Kaito's response. They were outside at this point. The sun was high in the sky, the sky itself was clear blue with not a cloud in sight. The warm air brought a gentle breeze across Kirito's face that was refreshing after the dusky smell of the hospital. Kirito's smile widened even more. He loved Tanzaku and would do anything to protect it. There was a reason he was the Hokage after all. These thoughts filled Kirito with energy and he was ready to begin teaching Kaito the ways of wood release right away. "Kaito give me your hand. I'll take us straight to the training grounds so we can get started." he would say to the Raikage. If Kaito did in fact give Kirito his hand, the two of them would disappear in a flash of yellow light, reappearing in the Tanzaku number three training fields.

Kaito'd walk out alongside Kirito, holding his breathe to avoid that dreadful stench. Mhm, he didn't like hospitals at all! As both of the two ninja walked to the exit, Kirito explained that the Wood release wouldn't come so easily; Kaito'd gradually be able to control it with the passage of time. You know what? That sounded like a challenge. There was nothing better than showing a mentor that with enough perseverance, one could show their worth from the get-go. And that was exactly what he was going to do once they reached the training fields. There was also mention of Meliodas, the blonde haired Jinchuuriki. How could Kaito have forgotten that he set out to visit Kirito!? The young man would face-palm himself and shake his head, "Goodness. I had forgotten that Meliodas would be coming here. Is he still in the village? I don't sense him."

They'd both exit the hospital, feeling the pleasant breeze hit their faces. Kaito'd look around to see if he could spot Meliodas, as if that would work. "I must have missed him. I'll see-" Kaito was cut off, being told to give Kirito his hand. He'd willfully comply and hand Kirito the right hand, placing it on his shoulder. The moment he did they instantly vanished in a flash of yellow light! No longer would they be in front of the hospital, but on the training ground! "This technique you just used. I've seen it before. Arcanis had used it on me during our spar."

Kirito laughed a little at that, remembering the maze he went through in order to learn the FTG technique. Those dark corridors, puzzles and the fight with that minotaur...Kirito snapped back to reality quickly. "Yea I persuaded him to teach it to me. That was a fun day. Big maze, dark corridors, puzzles and a minotaur. But I learned the FTG technique. Now, are you ready to begin the training?"

"I figured. It's a very useful technique. Gets you around quickly." Kaito smirked before he actually caught what Kirito said. Something about mazes and fighting a minotaur? What in the name of...."Wait, what? Minotaur? You know what, don't even tell me." He giggled and then held the empty bottle in his hand up to his face, throwing it to the side afterwards. "I'll pick that up later. Let's get this started!" Kaito was fired up! With this Senju DNA he was feeling much stronger than ever! Full of vitality!

Kaito seemed like he was ready to learn wood release techs. He was full of energy as he threw an empty sake bottle and told Kirito "I'll pick that up later. Let's get this started!" Kirito would move 5 meters away from Kaito and begin by telling him to watch carefully as he began manipulating the wood element for one of his main Mokuton techniques. "Pay close attention and use your sharingan to keep track of the chakra flow." Kirito said to the Raikage before he performed the Snake hand seal and a tree began to grow out of the ground 25 meters in front of Kirito. The tree would grow a total of 55m tall and 25m wide with branches extending at various intervals all along the trunk. When it reached maximum growth, Kirito would release the Snake handseal, although it was unnecessary to begin with for him, and release the technique. Kirito would look over at Kaito and begin to speak. "This is a mere fraction of what you will be able to do. Were you able to follow everything with your sharingan?"

The young Raikage would step back and allow his superior to show him how to perform the Mokuton techniques. But before he could get to doing it he'd activate his Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. That'd speed up the process and allow him to copy the hand seals and chakra flow. "I'm watching." Kaito stood there, watching as branches erupted from the soil ahead. Much like how nature had worked its touch on the Earth, Kirito had created a massive tree that would sprout many branches. "Incredible! So this is the legendary Wood element that the Senju possess. I must say Kirito, this is extremely fascinating. I got the whole thing with my Sharingan."

Kaito'd form the snake hand seal, beginning to channel his chakra in a similar fashion to Kirito. The area around the massive tree would be the same area he'd attempt to create his own. From the soil, approximately ten meters from the larger tree, emerged another tree. This one, however, wouldn't be able to match Kirito's in height. At least he had the technique down. The problem was being able to use the right amount of chakra. "I almost had it. I can try again. I'll get it right this time, I'm sure of it."

Kaito had managed to create a small tree next to the original Kirito had made. Kirito was actually surprised he was even able to come that far on his first try, though he should have expected it from a former Tanzaku ninja and the current Raikage. It was truly astounding to see. Kirito hoped he would continue to make good progress. "I almost had it. I can try again. I'll get it right this time, I'm sure of it."

He was already ready to try again. Kirito would look at Kaito and nod, giving his go ahead for him to try again. He would wait expectantly to see if this time Kaito's tree would grow even bigger and more complete. He knew his friend could do it, he had complete faith in him. It was just a matter of time now.

Kaito'd stand there, breathing in and out a steady pace. Receiving the go ahead nod from Kirito, he perform the serpent seal once more. Around the same area as the other trees, massive roots would begin forming forming beneath the soil. The ground would begin churning and cracking with the emergence of a massive tree! This tree was closer to Kirito's and dwarfed Kaito's previous tree. It'd begin growing branches from the trunk to complete the technique. Now that was a work of art in Kaito's book. Something that a Kage like himself should be capable of doing.

"See, now that's what I call a tree right? Haha." Little did the young man know that a strange transformation would occur. The Sharingan would once again transform into another Dojutsu. A pair of light purple eyes with ripples, the Rinnegan. Kaito would be unaware of the newly activated eyes and would continue laughing it off. "I actually think that I can make a forest back home for the children to explore."

Kaito had managed to create a tree much closer in size to Kirito's on his second attempt. The rate he progressed was astounding to Kirito. No wonder he had seen so much potential when he had first met the young Uchiha. As he finished the technique, he would turn to Kirito laughing, as his eyes would transform into a light purple with rings around the pupils. Kirito's hunch about how he had awakened his own rinnegan seemed to be correct. It was a combination of the Uchiha's sharingan and the Senju DNA somehow.

"I actually think that I can make a forest back home for the children to explore."


Kaito seemed to be totally oblivious to the change in his eyes. Almost the same thing had happened to Kirito himself when his rinnegan awakened. He had not shared this with anyone, hoping to keep his new doujutsu a complete secret until he was forced to use it. A shocked expression had formed on Kirito's face as these thoughts ran through his mind. After a brief pause he would speak. "Kaito. Your eyes, they've changed." was all he would say to his friend. Even though Kaito was a close friend of his, he would not reveal his own rinnegan. No one knew that he possessed this doujutsu and he wanted to keep it that way. Though he would give his friend any information he would need regarding the new transformation within his own eyes.

It took Kaito a while to actually begin feeling the power that had awakened in his eyes. There was indeed a change; he could feel it. (Pubeeerty) Once Kirito had commented on the change, he'd close both eyes, bringing his fingers to the lids. "You're right! Whatever it is, it just kicked in now. I can feel a change in my chakra. It isn't the same as the Sharingan." Kaito somehow managed to deactivate it, returning to the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan. "What was that just now?" The young man removed his hands from his face and opened his eyes again. Whatever just transpired caught Kaito by surprise.

"I'm sorry Kirito. I don't know what happened. I felt normal at first but then I was overwhelmed by a sudden rush of chakra." He turned to the tree that he created. There was some deep thinking going on. What could have possibly caused that? Perhaps Kirito would know.

Kirito couldn't help but let out a small laugh at that. Kaito was apologizing to him for not knowing what was going on with his eyes. The same thing had happened to him so of course he would find it somewhat amusing. Kirito smiled at his friend, letting him know everything was ok, before speaking up to give Kaito the information he would need. "It's ok Kaito. This was bound to happen to you eventually. Your eyes, your new eyes, are called the Rinnegan. It is an advanced form of the sharingan after advancing them to the Eternal version. You haven't discovered it until now because it requires both the powers of the Senju and the Uchiha to awaken." Kirito would not say how he possessed this knowledge but Kaito was smart. He would most likely put it together on his own. Even if he did, Kirito would still not show his own Rinnegan to his friend the Raikage. He hoped Kaito would not press the matter but simply accept the information given to him.

So this was the Doujutsu known as the Rinnegan. Both the power of the Uchiha and the Senju awakened this? Kaito began putting the facts together. Kirito had history would the former head of the Uchiha, Itami; even trusting him with some of his precious DNA. Could it be possible that Itami had gifted Kirito with something of his own? Plausible, seeing that Kirito knew a good amount about the Rinnegan itself. The young man wouldn't dwell too much into that though. He'd leave it as it is. Eventually, he'd look into it later on in his own village.

Wait! Speaking of own village, Kaito had forgotten that two outsiders were left in Jikoku. There was also the possibility that Meliodas hadn't reached the village yet. Although he had some trust in the ERU, there was no telling if these two men were holding back at the entrance. "The Rinnegan......I see. Kirito, if you don't mind, I have some business to attend to back at my village. Those two outsiders I told you about are still there. I thank you for all that you have given me."

So this was it huh? Kirito didn't really expect to be able to have much time with his friend but a day and a half was very short indeed. Still, he knew the responsibilities a Kage had to their village so he understood. He didn't leave his own village very often anymore either because of his own duties as Hokage and when he did it wasn't for long periods. He would look at his friend and tell him he understood. "No worries Kaito. I know how it is to be a Kage and have responsibilities to your village. Go on. We will train more when you have the time. Feel free to come and visit Tanzaku any time."

Kaito'd simply close his eyes and smirk, "Oh, you know how it goes Kirito. Always busy with things and never having much time to go out. It's what I was left with. Maybe I'll become a great Raikage and be looked at like one of the greatest, much like how you are looked at by Tanzaku." He'd open his eyes, the smirk turning into a smile. "You know I'll always visit Kirito. Even if I may not announce my visit, just know that I'll be watching over this village periodically." With that said he'd turn around, walking towards the exit of the training grounds. "Adieu."

The young Raikage would begin swirling as he warped to the Kamui dimension. There was business to settle in Jikoku......

Kaito would say his farewell and promise he would visit and that he would be watching over Tanzaku. That made Kirito even more confident in his plans. Perhaps with Kaito, Taika and the rest of the Tanzaku ninja this world will be protected after all. "Kaito, you may get a letter from me soon. My subordinate will be taking my spot as Hokage shortly. I hope you can attend the ceremony. Take care." he would say to his friend before they both disappeared in their respective flashy exits. Kaito would begin to swirl then disappear and Kirito would disappear in a yellow flash.
