Village Rules
There are different villages in each of the different countries. Each country has its own major village with its leader being known as a Kage. Each village is run by its own respective leader or Kage and as such has its own set of rules determined by that villages current leader or Kage. They are allowed to make any laws and rules they wish but must take in to consideration the villagers reaction to the laws and the possibilities of a coup detat. Any laws created by the village leader are subject to staff approval upon request to make sure they aren't outlandish. These laws are listed in their home village tab located in each village.
Village Economy
The villages economy is an important part of every village, without money flow a village will eventually starve and die due to not being able to afford defenses and the like.
All ryo the village has is listed in the village tab under, "Village Funds".
The respected leader of each village has control over their own village funds, they are free to spend it on whatever they want, meaning they can make village defenses, buy items for their villagers, bribe allies, or spend it all on themselves thus making them look corrupt in the eyes of the people.
All items purchased from each villages ninja shop goes towards its funds, along with donations from the villagers and any missions completed by the ninja of said village.
In the event of a village attack or spies, the village funds can be directly targeted and stolen, the village funds always existing in the leader's chambers unless stated otherwise by said leader of Kage.
Traveling Rules
-Traveling rules are actually a very simple thing on NAP. You may either post a travel topic and wait 12 hours before claiming your travel completed in which case other ninja may jump in and attack or otherwise try to prevent your travel or write 1000 words traveling to your destination for an unblockable travel. This is required by everyone with no exceptions unless some form of teleportation jutsu is used such as FTG or the Ootsutsuki clan specific S/T jutsu.
- For every rank above D in locomotive speed you reduce the travel count by 100 words or 1 hour.
-All travel topics must be made on the country borders, you cannot train anything for this as it details your journey. Should a group be traveling together, they all must hit the marker of words or wait. (Timer starts when the last of the travel party posts) If stopped by attackers, you may count your journey completed following the conclusion of the topic.
-In order to travel to a new country, you must first exit every topic that you are a part of in your current country.
Attacking a Village
Attacking a village is fairly simply, this must be done in an open topic declaring the purpose as war in the thread. {Ex. "Tanzaku City Siege Thread"}
Anyone can attack a village, but with actual IC cause and reasoning. Furthermore it must be good and ran by an admin before this will be allowed. Pm Roland, Kirito, or Kikako with your IC reasoning, if it is legitimate (other than he hates everyone, etc) then it will be approved.
Rules:The rules are simple, fight to the last side standing, winner gets the land.
Escape posts will be allowed before battle to allow those with lower stats to leave the battle zone. If you have less than B rank in Locomotive Speed, you can post in a separate escape topic, and are unable to be stopped. If you have overthis, then you must post your escape in (one of) the main attack topic(s). Your escape can be prevented. An escape topic must be made by one of the attackers to allow those with less than B rank Locomotive speed to escape. If you have not posted in the escape topic within twenty four hours, you will be forced to take part.
NB: At any point, even past the twenty four hours, an escape can be attempted in (one of) the main attack topic(s). However, there remains the threat of being stopped.
If you have been inactive for more than a week you will be counted as MIA and not killed in the village attack. If you vanish and are not online due to a family emergency or similar circumstances, staff may allow your character to be counted as MIA.
If you escaped due to having low stat rank you may not interact with the topic in any way what so ever, this includes getting reinforcements, only those over the stat limit may interact further with the topic after escaping via reinforcements.
After 24-48 hours from the declaration of war the attack starts, if no one makes a stand to defend the village after 72 hours the attack can be called an instant victory, the village going to the attackers.
These rules must also be followed if claiming a Kage or village leader seat. To claim a village leader or Kage seat, you must first attack the village if not a resident of that village. If you are a resident of the village and are claiming the village leader or Kage seat they must post a takeover thread in the village leader chambers declaring your intentions of taking the seat. After 72 hours if no one has posted in the thread you may claim the seat as your own, considering the consequences of your actions ie village ninja fighting back, past allies of the village possibly attacking or the previous leader reclaiming his seat by force or other means.
Defending a Village
In the event of a village attack, all ninja in the village are called out. They can either choose to fight, or to run with the latter normally being listed as traitors if the village fights off the invaders.
The Kage or Village Leader, to aid in defending the village, can purchase unique defenses with the village funds.
Destroying a Village
If you're feeling particularly spiteful, you may want to destroy a village. This results in either the renaming of the village to being a wasteland, remains or ruins, or the removal of the village as a category/forum. The renaming technique is more frequently used as it allows the exploration of where the village would have once stood which makes more sense from a role play perspective.
Once a village has been destroyed, the present citizens and residents (unless they were away on a mission or some such and have not role played in the village within the last seven days) are all killed, unless they role played their escape during the attacking of the village. The exception to this is if you are under the 'newbie protection'(First week of your characters life) and were present in the village in the last seven days, but did not take part in the defense of the village and were not present anywhere else in the ninja world, you will be able to make a topic describing your escape from the village. If you took part in the defense and did not escape, then your character will be dead, like all the rest.
Mass Battles/Invasion
Essentially when posting an invasion the attackers and defenders must post a single thread to begin. In here each person participating must post in the thread with a WC of 350, the exception is defenders of a VILLAGE. There cannot be any damage done nor attacks made in this thread, it simply sets up the fight.
From there, anyone can challenge anyone from either side and attempt to attack them in a separate topic. Anyone who is free may join any topic pertaining to the battle. The way this works is if someone is in a topic, and they defeat an enemy in X number of posts, they may join another topic of the same battle at round X of posting. This can allow some people to be in multiple fights at once, and if they flee one topic successfully then they may join into another at X post as well.
