Arcanis trains in his dreams. Empty
PostSubject: Arcanis trains in his dreams.   Arcanis trains in his dreams. EmptyThu Jan 29, 2015 8:24 pm

Motivation that is what Arcanis needed. He had been working hard but didn't actually do anything. He trained and train and practiced his jutsu but in the end nothing really came of it until he went on a mission. He needed a mission badly. He thought as he cleaned his plate at his favorite diner. He needed power and that wasn't going to happen if he stuck around here. The food was delicious it was a mix of ramen and vegetables that Arcanis had never had before. He picked up his knife and stabbed the table ignoring the glares of the owners. Arcanis stood. He needed quiet. He grabbed his katana and headed toward the door. “Hey are you gonna pay for that?” Arcanis threw a kunai behind him with a ryo note attached to it and pinned it to the wall. He walked out of the ramen shop into the rain. Is it that I know that what is that I know is more than that what those who know know? Or is it that they know that I know that they know not and that they know not that which I know they know. Arcanis chuckled. He loved riddles and poems and mind manipulation. He had lived his life showing absolutely no remorse or caring for anything. It was hard to read him and he knew that no one could. He was special. His mother used to say. He was above the rest.

He had grown up with that mentality but on top of that he was smart. He didn't go around pissing people off which kept him from making enemies. But today he wanted to kill someone. He wanted blood. He could even taste it. Shock He realized that it wasn't him thinking it was Him thinking. “He he he you certainly are a quick learner aren't you.” Arcanis sighed. “I accepted you why are you still separate from me?” the rain beat down on Arcanis but he didn't even notice. The rain meant nothing. The world meant nothing. His life meant nothing but the thought of gaining power. He would work hard and show everyone that he was the most powerful. The rain didn't phase Arcanis because his chakra gradually expanded blocking out the rain from hitting him. “You ready to take this to a new level?” the voice in his head just laughed at what he was about to do. Arcanis' body went numb. He fell to the ground and blacked out. The rain penetrated his dream as he moved to some infinity flat world. It looked like a flat world covered in the grid made by his minds eye. The rain seemed to float slowly down to the ground. Nothing made sense in this screwed up world. Including the figure that stood in front of him. The figure seemed to be a mirror of him. Arcanis stood looking at himself. But something was wrong. The figure had something that reminded him of a primal beast. His stance and the look in his eyes screamed evil. “Now we'll take it to the next level.” the being hissed. Arcanis looked at his hands. Everything felt real but at the same time it felt like a dream. But one thing seemed obvious; Arcanis was weaker than he normally was.

The being in front of him laughed and disappeared. Arcanis whirled around but wasn't fast enough as the being kicked him in the stomach sending him flying backward. The being was on him in an instant. Still in the air the beast kicked him high into the air. As he soared upward he could taste the blood in his mouth. Blood! How did he taste blood? He never tasted anything in his dreams. He slowly turned around discovering that the figure wasn't done with him yet. The figure punched him over and over. Elbows and knees flew as the two began to fall back down. The thing punched him hard. Grabbing onto Arcanis' ankles he swung Arcanis around over and over vertically until he threw him hard down into the ground. Rolling over a few times Arcanis was sure that he had broken his shoulder and a couple ribs and his arm. Snarling and spitting out the blood. Arcanis glared at the smiling figure. The thing was making fun of him. He was faster stronger. Nothing seemed to faze him. It was like he was mocking him. “Why are you so weak?”

Arcanis grimaced. Standing Arcanis focused his chakra. Two blows to his chest and one to his chin knocked him off his feet again. His “clone” stood over him. Arcanis was lifted into the air by a powerful kick. Wincing Arcanis opened teleportaion circle and disappeared into it. He landed on the ground a long way from the mirror of himself. Arcanis lay on the ground. He tried to breathe his lungs were probably filling. If he didn't do anything soon he would simply die. Arc stood. He focused on the state of his chakra. In his dreams he normally didn't have chakra because he always imagined he was at home. It was hard to access it but eventually he pulled a long thin strand out of what seemed like a mysterious reservoir inside him. He wasn't even sure whether or not it was chakra. It was tangible and stringy. He wasn't able to form it properly into a full powered jutsu but it didn't matter he needed something to buy him some time. He was able to use the thread to form some basic maneuvers though.

The Figure attacked sprinting head long at him. 'Good' Arc shot a blast of air at his double. As his double knocked the air blast aside with ease Arc flexed his fingers and the threads that he used to make the jutsu formed around the Guy. Using his space time specialty and his complete disregard for the physics in his dream he teleports to another side of the doppleganger. He launched another attack at his doppelganger from another direction. He dropped down through another teleportation cirlce that he placed at his feet. Popping out and blasting another shot, but he stopped short. His copy just took the blasts with a smile. With a wicked look in his eyes, the clone disappeared. Arcanis whirled around catching the clone’s fist in the side of his face. Arcanis face hit the ground. As his body twisted and flew Arcanis tried to regain his grounding. Sliding through the sand he tried to find his composure. But the thing was on him way to fast. It punched him so many times Arcanis lost track and nearly went under. “But that would be quitting” Arcanis never quit. Regaining his footing Arcanis brought his head up smashing his clone in the face hard enough to send him flying. But not fast enough. Arcanis caught him by the throat as he went flying halting his outward movement, and squeezed. As he did the clone’s eyes went wide. He began to attack Arcanis arm trying to free itself. But Arcanis was done with this. Crushing the things windpipe Arcanis punch the doppelganger in the face. The clone shattered into a million pieces like glass. Arcanis thought he had been victorious but the world began to quake and the sky cracked and shattered revealing a blood red sky. “We're not through yet” Lightning rained down as Arcanis tried to dodge for his life. The last strike revealed that the Clone had not died. “Your pathetic you know that?” The clone dashed to Arcanis seeming to disappear. He was faster now. The thing stopped dead in front of Arcanis. The air finally caught up and the rush blasted Arcanis off his feet. The thing followed doing the classic Dance of the Falling Leaf technique. Arcanis focused his chakra into his feet and opened a cicle on the bottom of his feet and also on the ground. His chakra griped the ground and stopped his outward motion. The clone flew off missing his attack. Arcanis was done with this crap. He drew his sword and dropped to the ground. He twisted the sword around and hefted its weight. Feeling the oneness that he always had with this sword. It had been given to him by his father when he was younger. It was just a basic katana but to Arcanis it was home. The hilt felt familiar where he had used it so many times. The balance was perfect and the steel was strong. Arcanis had been taught the ways of the sword since he was three. It all came rushing back to him. In recent years he hadn't practiced with his blade as much. Content to develop his Magic he had neglected his sword training. But his father had been a good teacher. His sayings and wisdom stayed with him. Now it was time to test his strength.

Drawing his sword back behind his body Arcanis leaned forward with his shoulder, revealing a blatant weak spot. The Mirror stood and laughed at him. Holding his hand forward an ornate blade appeared and it grasped the handle. Arcanis was surprised. His clone had just materialized a sword out of nowhere.  Arcanis couldn’t do that.  Arcanis got it now.  He smiled.  He changed his form to the basic starting position.  He squared his shoulders and brought his sword to in front of him.  Arcanis smiled and closed his eyes.  This confused the clone but he strikes anyway.  Arcanis parried the blow with ease again bewildering the doppelganger.  Not only was Arcanis able to keep up with his speed but he was able to block with his eyes closed.  “I figured it out.  Your secret.  Now you can’t possibly win” the clone began to attack with a barrage of blows, twisting and attacking from every direction teleporting and striking from every angle.  Arcanis still with his eyes closed blocked or dodged them all.  “You haven’t figured it out?”  Arcanis said as he started his offensive.  He struck down hard landing blow after blow heavily on his opponent’s sword driving his opponent to his knee.  “I figured it out when you made that sword.  Since you didn’t have one or use one from the beginning it means that you have just been countering my moves with moves of your own that are similar but powered up from mine.  You also have been using all my abilities.  When I drew a sword you materialized a sword to counter but I can’t make a sword out of nothing.  This means we are inside something that doesn’t have the logical sense that the real world does.  A dream or a simulation.  Either way I have the power on my side.”  Arcanis reached out his hand and grabbed his opponent’s sword.  Squeezing the sword made it shatter and fall apart.  Twisting the threads that were still around the clone he pulled the clone into his attack range Arcanis sword bit into the clones shoulder digging deeper.  Arcanis looked down on the weak image of himself that he had slain; the weakness in him. His sword felt lighter than ever before.  His muscles reminded him of the power of a blade.  Arcanis spun the blade in his hand his mind remembered the sword perfectly.  It even had the notch on it from back when he had used it to see if it could cut metal.  His father had admonished him for denting and dulling the blade, but the sword was more identifiable as his sword.  It was now unique.  The sword vanished from Arcanis hand.

Arcanis awoke in his hearing a pounding on the door. The dream had felt so real. As he sat up his body agreed with him.  He was sore all over and he could feel all the pain from the beating he had taken.  The pounding continued on the door.  He got out of bed hissing a sigh of pain.  He put on some basic clothes and went to the door.  It was a messenger with a note.  The note was important but he had another day to respond so Arcanis decided to take a shower.  As the Hot water soothed his aching muscles, the pain disappearing to nothingness. Arcanis used a basic medical jutsu that he had read about to begin treating his sore body. Useing the tiger seal he formed his chakra around his hands like he had learned and placing his hands on the sore spots it slowly began to feel better. Arcanis began to think of his chakra threads.  After his shower he put on his boxer shorts and began to mold his chakra. He had never really thought of making his chakra act like this. But once he tried it it wasn't too hard. He created a long thin strand ande then tristed in giving the thread elasticity and tensil strength.  He had never considered his chakra as anything but an internal power source.  Arcanis created a few threads from various finger and began to manipulate them as if they were extensions of his body, flashing back to how it felt in his dream.  It was the exact same.  He sat down and began to meditate.  It had been too long since he thought of his father’s teachings but maybe it was time to take his training to the next level. He would have to practice some more but he was sure he would be able to utilize the threads in his fighting style somehow.
