It'll be a blast! (Io)

"And that's pretty much all you need to know about combining the elements Jun. A little earth, a little lightning, and kablam you got yourself an explosion." Gwynevere finished up her speech, and tidied up her note cards. Ya that seemed like a pretty solid lesson plan for teaching a student Explosive release. Jun seemed to have gotten a gift from everyone else but Gwyn so she guessed it was her time to go into action. Well you could argue that the awesome arm was in part because of her, buuut she's not feisty enough to argue that point.

They couldn't have picked a better day for it. The sun was shining, the clouds were soft and fluffy. The breeze was cool and refreshing against her unblemished skin. Life was good in the land of fire. Though she had to admit that she did kind of miss the fishy smell of Umi. That fishy fishy smell.

She sat on a cotton woven blanket in the middle of the field. Spread out around her were little clay figurines. Anyone passing on the road may foolishly think that she was an artisan selling her craft. Little did they know that these little guy were actually highly explosive bombs. Though only dangerous if she wanted them to be. So they would look wonderful up on a shelf or a battlefield.

She was all set for a day of Teaching, the only thing she was missing was her Junny Bunny.

"Alright." Jun flicked his nose with his thumb as he got ready to get to work. He looked down at the array of clay sculptures that Gwynevere had prepared for the demonstration. She was pretty talented, some of these things looked pretty cool. Of course the idea that they could blow a person up without much effort was a little scary.

Jun had the basic idea down. Earth is a solid confined type of element. And Lighting is energetic and explosive. You have the earth act as a kind of container for the explosive energy release of Lightning. So while lightning normally doesn't have much mass to go around with it, if you ad the earth it does. Pretty Clever Gwynevere. He couldn't quite figure out why they looked like little tiny animals, but perhaps that was just a part of Gwynevere's flair?

Jun took a load of the explosive clay and kneaded it into is hands. Gwynevere had brought a big old load of it with her. According to what he understood it was the easiest way for a person to learn the explosive release by using this stuff. Which was pretty cool. Most elements didn't really have this kind of training wheels.

As Jun kneaded the clay he channeled his earthly chakra with his right hand, and his electrical chakra with his left. The clay began to harden as the two elements intermingled with each other. This allowed jun to make the slay take shape. He looked to one of the spiders that Gwynevere had created and tried to copy her design. It looked easy enough. Of course talk was cheap, and when Jun was finished it looked like nothing more than a slightly deformed oval. He hung his head in shame. "I guess I'm going to have to take a potery class with you after this too eh?"

He laughed, and tossed the failure over his shoulder, ready to try again. Of course even though it was ugly as sin, it was still a very active bomb. With it discarded behind him the ball of clay exploded shaking the trees, and the earth behind them. Jun even felt some of his beautiful pink hair get singed from the explosion. Laughed nervously, and rubbed the back of is head as he looked a gwynevere. "Heh, heh. So how'd I do?" He raised a finger to a burning clump of hair, and extinguished it with a 'tsssss'

Gwynevere squinted at Jun. Perhaps they shouldn't have done this in the Hokage's building! Ah well no harm no foul. They'd needed to clear out that wall anway. They did have a giant Dragon's head to hang in there now.

"Well Jun I think you've got the hang of it. Sure your craftsmanship was a little shoddy, but I think a few more pottery classes and you'll be on the ball. It's a little weird that you learned explosives before you learned how to make a bird, but Don't worry! Stick with me kid, and you'll be making the best art there is. Because you know... art is an explosion!

The dramatic irony was immense.
