He made the Ram hand seal to lock in a jutsu for later before pulling his swords from their sheathes, Elucidator in his right hand and Dark Repulser in his left. He had already said the phrase "Pierce the minds of my enemies, Ki ni piasu Kiba.", his Bankai being released. His senses were all on high alert and he scanned the surrounding area for any signs of movement. He knew better than to take his opponent lightly. He was prepared for anything.
