Kirito vs........Kirito!? The fight for Elucidator, Dark Repulser and Blackwyrm Coat!

Kirito was in town looking for some new equipment on a short break from his training with the other Jinchuuriki. That was when he came upon a cloaked peddler, displaying some peculiar weapons and armor.

“Hello young traveler. Seems you already know what your looking for or else you wouldn't have come to my humble shop. It's not for the random passerby but for one who has an idea of what they are looking for. So tell me what is it you seek?” the peddler had no identifyable features and even the cloak seemed to not be what it looked like.

Peddler:

The peddler asked Kirito if he knew what he was looking for. Kirito responded with a smile and a few short words. "I'm looking for some new equipment. That black coat looks like my style as well as those two swords next to it, the black one and the aqua colored. How much?"

"Eh those? they are some of our rarest items. i'm afriad another man wanted those and was willing to pay top dollar." a twinkle shone in the peddlers eyes. "Unless of course you wanted to fight the man for them. then again if you had the courage you could fight me for them. That is my only offer." The peddler would smile as the pieces were set for another epic fight.

So the items Kirito had wanted were set aside for another. The peddler had offered to fight Kirito himself or let him fight the other possible buyer. Kirito had immense faith in his skills but could not bring himself to fight the seemingly weak peddler. "Show me the other buyer. Perhaps we can discuss terms."

"huehuehue" the screen would go black and then a wild Kirito would appear.

The man stood looking at kirito. The two of them were identical except Kirito had the 2 swords and the jacket where as kirito didn't. We'll call him dark kirito for clarification. “Wow the resemblance is uncanny. Are you a copy of my avatar? This is supposed to be a boss fight isn't it?” dark kirito said drawing his swords. “This is a weird game mechanic but fine. Let's see if the computer can match the real thing.”

Suddenly everything went black and then Kirito was staring at what seemed to be a copy of himself except it was wearing the coat and the two swords he wanted. Dark Kirito spoke first. “Wow the resemblance is uncanny. Are you a copy of my avatar? This is supposed to be a boss fight isn't it? This is a weird game mechanic but fine. Let's see if the computer can match the real thing.” he said as he drew his two swords. Kirito was definitely not expecting this but he would fight the copy if winning meant he would obtain the items he wanted. The two katana he had obtained from Arcanis' maze were strapped on his back. He unsheathed them and took up a stance, preparing for the incoming fight. 'Isobu, start gathering nature energy for me. I would prefer it if I was ready to heal myself if I need to.' he said to the 3 tails in his mind. He activated his Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan and waited for Dark Kirito to make the first move.

Dark Kirito held his ground he was wondering what the algorithms for this boss was going to be. He used his peripheral vision to check out the terrain. Flat. Good. No excess moisture in the air. Good. Seemed like the opposing kirito had some moves that weren't slave to Dark Kirito's avatar....Not Good. Dark Kirito reviewed his health bar. Then he looked over at the enemies health bar....odd it didn't have one not even a greyed out one and Dark Kirito's scan skill was at max....Not good. OK let's go.

Dark Kirito started by attacking straight forward. He needed to trigger the Bosses activation trigger anyway. He would dash forward holding one sword infront of him and one sword behind. Down and at an angle. He could use the blade as a slash stab or block from this state.

Dark Kirito had charged forward, holding his right sword in front of him and his left sword behind him, angling downward. Kirito stood his ground, his left foot forward so he stood facing Dark Kirito at a 45 degree angle. He held his left sword in front of him on an angle so it crossed in front of his face while the sword in his right hand was angled downward and away from him. He was well guarded and could react quickly to Dark Kirito's attack.

The Fake Kirito seemed to be fully guarded. But even bosses that used sheilds had a weakness somewhere. Dark Kirito stopped when he was just in reach to begin their sword clash. The sword held in his right hand at the downward angle would be brought up to attack the Boss on his left side horizontally. This attack was fairly basic. It did very little damage but it was meant to be used in a chain attack. The sword in the left hand would be brought a little closer to use it as a blocking sword.

Dark Kirito had stopped just in reach to begin their clash. He swung his right hand sword horizontally at Kirito's left side while bringing his left hand sword in closer. Kirito could tell his opponent was skilled with dual blades. Lightning would cover Kirito's body while he simultaneously gained red markings surrounding his eyes. Kirito would pivot slightly to the left to block Dark Kirito's slash with the sword in his left hand, bringing the sword in his right up to slash vertically down the center of Dark Kirito at 360 speed. While blocking and counter-striking, a large tail would simultaneously shoot into the ground behind Kirito and come out of the ground behind Dark Kirito at 400 speed to try and wrap around the center of Dark Kirito's body including his arms to keep him in place. If this worked, Dark Kirito would be restrained by the partial full beast tail and sliced in half vertically by Kirito's right hand sword.

Once Dark kirito got in close he analyzed the oppontents stance. It was similar in almost every way to the Beta. The Doppleganger style boss that lured you in by looking like you then attacking with amazing speed. But Kirito had played this game for hours and there was no boss or monster that was faster than him. As the right arm went up to drop a vertical slash on him Kirito slid under it's right arm slashing with both swords as he went. The Bosses tail would just about surround him when the vertical slash would drop straight through it. Kirito wasn't done. Turning 270 degrees to his left he would use the rotational momentum to step through a slash on the bosses back and tail with both swords. Flipping his swords around he would continue his step and rotated to the left again slaming the swords into the bosses neck and side in reverse grip and then with a reversal to throw the boss off he would spin to the right slashing the doppleganger across the chest and stomach as he slid backward 3 meters. “Double horizontal Square”

Slash blades would erupt from the marks made on the boss flashing through him to the opposite side in a square pattern extending all the way out almost 5 feet before dissipating. Dark Kirito was left in a defensive stance holding both swords in front of him pointing at his target.

Kirito managed to block the sword coming at his left but as soon as he lifted his right arm for the vertical slash Dark Kirito slid underneath his arm, slashing with both swords. It seemed his reaction time was even greater than Kirito's, something he thought only Arcanis was capable of. Dark Kirito slid past Kirito on his right, creating 2 horizontal slashes in his side. Unbeknownst to Dark Kirito, Kirito had attatched a chakra thread to his own blades and used the clash between the two to transfer the chakra thread to Dark Kirito's right handed blade, creating his FTG seal on it. As Kirito was slashed, he winced from the pain but held himself together. He could always switch to version 2 of his sage mode to heal himself if he needed. Just as Dark Kirito began his rotation into a swing with both swords, Kirito would disappear in a yellow flash, reappearing to the right of Dark Kirito with his 2 swords coming down vertically to sever Dark Kirito's arms, a translucent green pair of arms appeared at 500 speed coming down on either side of Kirito's own wielding Gleam Eyes' Cleaver and Kubikiribocho for a more devastating blow. The giant tail was no longer in play, Kirito deeming it would take up too much chakra to continue using.

As Dark Kirito's attack would be canceled due to the teleporting of his target Dark Kirito would catch a glimpse of the man appear to his right as he was turning to his left. instead of continuing his rotation he increased the speed of it. He spun rapidly slashing with both swords at the knees, midsection, and chest finally ending the rotation with a strong upward blow to the decending swords knocking them back up. Setting his foot he imediately went into a swift dashing blow past the doppleganger striking him with both blades this time on his left side as he slid around to face the enemy again. However he felt that he was going to need a bit of an advantage. the boss didn't seem to be weakening at all instead it seemed far too powerful. The door to the room was another 30 feet behind him. he thought maybe if he could kite the boss into another group....eh that had the risk of running into mobs. Grr. this boss was troublesome. He would have to describe the fight in full detail in his notes. Kirito slid his Dark repulor that was in his right hand into his sheath. He would have to play this close.

In a flash, he would draw and throw a throwing spike and let it fly with the single shot skill. however he didn't let it hit its mark before turning and retreating towards the door with haste. he had a plan but it was only a good plan if he could get some room.

As Kirito appeared slicing downward, Dark Kirito increased his speed instead of canceling his attack. As soon as Kirito noticed his opponent's increased momentum he summoned his Susano'o as an armor around him at 500 speed and then a red circle would appear on his forehead with a dot in the middle. That was when Dark Kirito's first slash struck at his knees, followed by slashes at his midsection and lastly his chest which was when his Susano'o shattered, midway through the chest slash, and Kirito took more damage. He healed his wounds immediately, including the ones on his side. As his wounds were healing, Dark Kirito finished his attack by swiftly striking upward at the still descending swords. Kirito had just enough time to brace himself for the upward strike and crossed his blades making an X pattern so that when they were hit they were only forced upward 3 inches. Dark Kirito moved past Kirito's left slide slashing with both of his blades as he went. Kirito wasn't fast enough to block this time and so took a few more slashes before turning to face Dark Kirito who had slid to a stop 4 meters away and was facing him. Dark Kirito sheathed the aqua colored blade that was in his right hand. In a flash Dark Kirito threw what looked like a kunai at Kirito. He was just able to side step to the right as it flew past. He had to forgo his speed for the healing abilities of his sage mode, which was about to run out. That was bad. This "Dark Kirito" was very skilled. As Kirito looked up he saw his opponent now sprinting toward the door.

This gave Kirito the much needed time and space to come up with a plan and perform any necessary hand seals. He stabbed his two swords into the ground in front of him and spun 720 degrees, throwing 35 kunai at 254 speed in various places as he spun. Two of the kunai were aimed at the small of Dark Kirito's back. Just as he came to a stop facing his opponent, the markings disappeared from his face. 'Isobu!' was the only thing he needed to say to the beast that shared his mind. 'I'm on it!' cam the Sanbi's reply, knowing he needed to gather more nature energy for Kirito. They were truly in sync now. Kirito simultaneously made the Ram seal and black flames erupted from his right eye at a speed of 160 aimed at Dark Kirito's torso 30 meters away as he said Isobu's name in his mind, locking in a technique that may come in useful if Dark Kirito got close again. Immediately after he had locked in his jutsu and summoned his black flames, Kirito performed the clone hand seal and an exact copy of him without LRA active appeared in a puff of smoke 1 meter behind him and to his right on all fours, covered in a dark red cloak of chakra that sprouted 3 tails and began gathering an immensely dense black ball of chakra in front of his mouth. Kirito then picked up one of the katana in front of him with his right hand, he was preparing for any possibility.

Dark kirito continued retreating as nothing tried to prevent him from doing so. As he got to the door a couple throwing knives hit his back but they didn't stop him. He exited the room and dissappeared around the corner just as black flames erupted from the door behind him. He kept running disappearing into the shadows of the poorly lit hallways. The structure of the dungeon they were in was similar to that of an old castle. It was uninhabited except for the bat monsters and lizard mobs that roamed this sector. Dark Kirito was glad to get out of the boss room it was far to dangerous to do alone.

He was now capable of hiding in the shadows a useful trick to avoid mobs when leaving a dungeon.

Dark Kirito was still running to the door when the raijin kunai hit his back. Kirito just realized he was trying to get away. The instant the kunai hit Dark Kirito's back, Kirito simultaneously disappeared in a yellow flash, appearing behind Dark Kirito and tried to grab him. He just barley managed to brush his left index finger on the back of his coat before he made it through the door. That was all he needed however. He used that slight touch to leave a chakra thread on him.


When Kirito managed to get the chakra thread on Dark Kirito, the clone simultaneously aimed his bijuudama at a raijin kunai 2ft in front of him.


Kirito used the chakra thread to his advantage. Everything was set up at the same time Dark Kirito made it through the doorway. Suddenly there would be a flash of light and Dark Kirito would appear on top of the raijin kunai the clone was aiming at. The instant Dark Kirito appeared, the clone launched his bijuudama at him at a speed of 100 that would create an explosion 50 meters large as soon as it made contact with a power of 100. As the clone launched the bijuudama, Kirito simultaneously disappeared in a yellow flash, reappearing at a kunai just 3ft passed the blast range, the lightning surrounding his body disappeared. If everything went according to plan, Dark Kirito would have been teleported 2ft in front of the clone and then caught in a 50m wide explosion with a power and speed of 100.

As the knives hit his back the light from the room was blocked out in the shadow of the door he had almost reached. It had to be a teleportation skill most likely attatched to the knives in his back. Diving out of reach of the man Kirito yanked the knives out of his back and rolled threw the door throwing them back into the room one heading toward the Boss the other heading to the doppleganger the man had made. They were aimed at both of their faces. Dark Kirito saw the seal on the knives as he threw them. That must be how it was done. Dark Kirito remembered that after the boss had placed the seal on his sword he was able to teleport earlier. Leaping over the railing to the darkness below dark kirito would return his Dark repulsor to his storage. That way the boss wouldn't be able to teleport to his location. Then he dodged through another hallway running full speed through the dark. It was so dark one without night vision or a map of the place wouldn't know which way to go.

Thanks to Kirito's Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, he could see what his doppelganger was going to do seconds before it happened. Those short few seconds were hopefully all he needed. Just as Dark Kirito had started to dive out of the way, Kirito's outstretched left arm became Isobu's front left paw moving at 275 speed straight at the middle of Dark Kirito's back, a spiraling ball of chakra in the middle of the paw. Four sharp edged and pointed branches extended from the very end of the full beast arm, 2 branches aimed at either side of Dark Kirito, trying to wrap around him and pull him towards the spiraling ball of densely rotating chakra.

The instant Kirito had reappeared with FTG, he had dissipated his clone to gather the chakra reserves necessary for his next attack. This was his last ditch effort to keep his opponent from leaving the room. Kirito had a bad feeling that he would have a difficult time tracking him if he got away and he could tell for some reason defeating him was the only way to escape from this place. It didn't help that Greed was in his head screaming at him to get those powerful items. If his attacks hit, Dark Kirito would be sliced in four places as well as pushed back into a rasengan. If that happens Kirito would release LRA and the lightning would disappear from his body.

As Dark Kirito rotated and threw the daggers into the face of his attackers the Boss would produce a spinning ball of energy and Branches seemed to grow out of the things arms to try to grab him. That was a simple matter of slashing the branches so they didn't grab him but the spinning ball of energy would barely connect giving him the extra force to push him out the door. He hit the stone railing crushing it and fell to the ground below. The wind knocked out of him.

Kirito would duck as his own raijin kunai came flying at his face. The kunai left a scratch on the top of his head as read markings surrounded his eyes once more. Just then his rasengan had managed to just barely hit Dark Kirito, pushing him out the door and slamming him through a railing and down to a floor below, knocking the breath out of him. Kirito, with new found strength thanks to his sage mode, would disappear in a yellow flash while Dark Kirito simultaneously hit the floor below and reappear in front of Dark Kirito swinging his sword at a speed of 335 aimed at Dark Kirito's neck. A translucent arm appeared at 515 speed aimed a slash with Kubikiribocho at 205 speed at the opposite side of Dark Kirito's neck simultaneous with Kirito's swing. The partial beast arm and the branches that sprouted from it were no longer in play. If Kirito's slash with his katana and his Susano'o's slash with Kubikiribocho hit there mark, Dark Kirito's head would be severed from it's body.

The boss was on him to quick He was unable to react and the two sword cut into his neck. Normally this wouldn't kill him but it seemed that the game mechanics here didn't follow the normal algorythms. Dark Kirito was dead before his battle healing could kick in. He would appear in a limbo zone for 2 minutes before the nerve gear would fry his brain. The wake was held on a tuesday and even the skys morned for our hero. Good job dick.

Kirito had did it. He managed to defeat his doppleganger. As Dark Kirito's head fell. Kirito released his jutsu and EMS eyes before taking the Blackwyrm Coat, Elucidator and Dark Repulsor as his own.
