Basic Information
Name: Toshio Sakamoto
Age: 12
Birthday: January 11th
Gender: Male
Appearance:(If I can find a good picture i will put it on my avatar and stat page)
A normal average sized boy, with not particularly strong looking limbs, Toshio looks, well, average. He has short black hair, and is often seen sporting a cow lick, making his head look a little reminiscent of a "Q". His eyes are a deep murky brown, and often glitter with mischievous thoughts. He is fairly skinny, but not scrawny, just not muscular, he has good muscle definition, but mostly due to a general lack of body fat. He stands all of 5 feet on his toes, 4''9 otherwise, being a little short compared to most other people he knows.
He is normally seen in a brightly colored T shirt, occasionally sunglasses, dark colored cargo shorts, and sneakers of some kind, having had some bad experiences with stubbing his feet when he was younger.
Personality: Toshio is a fairly mellow sort of person, though when he is motivated he becomes a lot more active. He liked playing pranks a lot as a kid, and now has partially grown out of it, the inner child slowly being consumed and losing its grip on his soul as he ages. In general he is a happy sort of person, and if annoyed tends to avoid showing it. Many do not notice if he is angered, he is practiced at hiding it from his years of travel. Instead, well, revenge is a dish best served cold, he prefers stealthy ways to get back at someone as opposed to direct confrontation. He likes to think things over before acting, and generally comes across well mannered, if sometimes under-dressed for the occasion, depending. Like most younger siblings, he has constantly strived to catch up to, and perhaps one day surpass, his elder brother, should he ever find him again.
History:
Toshio was raised during his earlier years by his brother, who was his senior by a grand total of 8 years. He never knew his parents, and though he suspected that his older brother had, neverbrought the subject up, not so much to avoid causing someone undue pain, as much as that Toshio was happy being around his older brother, and simply was not curious.
The two of them lived in a village, filled with reasonable normal and friendly people, who sometimes helped the two out when something big needed doing, such as replacing the roofing. This happy period of Toshio’s life lasted for some time, but eventually his older brother sat down with him, and explained his dream of being a ninja. Toshio did not hesitate to support his elder brother’s ambition, and was left in the care of a neighboring family, at the age of 9. Wanting to be able to find his brother, and realizing that he had been left behind partially for his own safety, and partially because he might slow his elder brother down.
He worried about his older brother sometimes, and wanted to find out what was troubling him, as he had once overheard his elder brother speaking with some of the other villagers in their old home, about a great evil. Before he could find out more though, he fell out of his hiding place, and the conversation abruptly ended. Perhaps someone would explain what had happened if he became a ninja.
Determined to not fall behind, and instead be able to stand at his brother’s side, Toshio trained like crazy, and eventually passed the local Genin exams. After that, he did a few missions here and there, before setting out into the great wide world, trying to find his brother again. It is here that our story begins.

Roleplay Sample: Toshio intended to leave the village as soon as possible, to search for his brother, and the reasons for his darkness, naively believing that a simple chat could fix everything. Before that though, there was one mission left that he was assigned before he would be allowed to become a fairly harmless wanderer. There was a bandit camp that had set up camp deep in the forest, and it was said that they intended to attack Toshio’s home village! That was not good. Being one of the few ninjas in his village, Toshio had to somehow obtain the bandit’s plans, so that calling for reinforcements would be easier.
He was young, but even Toshio knew, from prior experience, that the bureaucracies were sometimes ludicrous at best, The only reason their previous attempts to get help had failed, was that the silly officials demanded a fairly concrete bunch of information such as the bandit’s number, and where they would attack. Until they got that, no reinforcements were going to be coming in from anywhere. So, that was the only reason a mere genin was sent off on this ridiculous mission. Normally a chuunin with some skills would be sent in the very least, if not a Jounin.
Sneaking up on the bandits was the easy part, but obtaining their plans would be difficult. The easiest option Toshio had decide dupon attempting, involved a lot of effort. He pulled out and then put on his disguise, that made him look like one of the bandits. Waiting for the cover of darkness, he stealthily approached the bandit camp. It seemed they were waiting for reinforcements to arrive themselves. He managed, after pretending to be a particularly incompetent bandit, to wind up on kitchen duty. The bandits seemed to not notice his lack of height, or if they did, assumed his mind was as stunted as his body appeared to be. Walking with a stoop really did wonders for manipulating other people’s perception of you.
While he was on kitchen duty (cleaning, not cooking, the bandits did not trust him that far anyway, even if they thought he was one of their own), he found that the kitchen was the perfect place to catch gossip. The cook and one of the other assistants were talking in barely concealed and easily hearable whispers and Toshio had no choice but to over hear their conversation.
It was fortunate the other bandits thought him incompetent already, the dishes he accidentally broke while washing them and not even trying to listen in on the others talking, was simply marked up to a stunted mind, and someone else took over washing, whiel he was sent to collect dishes from the bandit’s meal area. Sweet.
If he thought the previous spot was good, this one was better, as he had the perfect excuse to be slow about his job, in the entire area. The chief of the bandits was noisily planning with his advisor at one end of the table, and did not even notice Toshio when he was intently listening in and glancing at the map every time he picked up a dish to be washed by his replacement.
Eventually he was able to get the entirety of the bandit’s plans. He managed to sneak off out of the bandit’s camp, and quickly hide his bandit disguise in a prepared hole in the ground, covering the hole back up to minimize the risk of detection – the bandits would likely change their plans if word got out that they had been infiltrated. On his way back from the village though, he heard someone coming. Unfortunately, the bandit had also heard him. Quickly and silently taking off his shirt, and covering himself in dirt, he emerged from his hiding spot, and managed to convince the bandit that he, Toshio, was merely a homeless child in need of sustenance. The bandit seemed to believe him, and when his back was turned, Toshio hit him over the head with a stick, before quickly making his escape.
After cleaning himself, he presented himself to the head of the village and explained what he had found out of the bandit’s plans, which was, in short, everything. Upon mentioning the bandit he had encountered on his way back to the village, he was informed that that bandit was actually another genin in disguise, and had been sent to infiltrate the bandits as well. Oops.
The fully detailed report was sent for reinforcements, while Toshio was sent off to retrieve the still unconscious body of his ally. Seemed the disguises had worked pretty well, huh?
