Event Mission: Australian Insanity

The mission would begin soon. The desert was very wet on this particular day and Arc was starting to get annoyed with all the voices in his head that he was simply unable to drown out even with all the rain.. But he was here in this vast open span of nothingness with only the rain hitting sand to make noise. He heard he was going to have some help on this mission. He hoped they would arrive soon. He had a lot of things to do. He wasn't necessarily an overly impatient person but then again he also wasn't the kind of person that you wanted to keep waiting for no reason. Supposedly there are some demon animals out here that are supposed to be delicious. Arc didn't care. A job was a job and He had no problem killing demons for whatever reason. Arc sat on a lone rock amused himself while he waited by throwing His Kunai high in the air and letting them be carried by the winds a short way before falling and sticking into the sand where ever they landed.


“Keep on your toes,” Kurama would say as Arc tossed the tenth blade into the air. “I feel someone coming.”


“I know I can feel them too. The wind is strong today.” Arc looked up into the air and watched the blade dance as it dropped back to the earth a good 10 meters from him. He loved the rain. The storm embodied the very nature of Arcanis as the rain and wind battered at his robe. Lightning light the sky as it struck the earth a ways away. Thunder rolled across the land deafening the weak hearted. He had been waiting at the radevous spot for a while now. A glowing object crested a dune coming into veiw. Arc didn't know if it was an ally or an enemy but he cared very little. Arc stood up on the rock. He drew his blade feeling a surge of goodness from it. He was not a bad person and he didn't do this to intimidate but if he was to fight he would want to be ready.


“time to begin, Kurama.” Arc said as the Demons power enveloped him.

Kirito had taken a job request to kill some escaped demon kangaroos and return the bodies to the employer. It was an unusual request but Kirito didn't care. A job was a job and as long as he got the reward that was all that mattered. It seemed like an easy mission so Kirito had strapped Kubikiribocho to his back like usual and that was all he took with him for weapons. He had a few good jutsu in his arsenal and he could always call on Isobu's power to help him out if he needed it. Right on cue, as if controlled by another person in a different universe who could clearly see what Kirito was thinking and feeling, the 3 tails trapped inside of him spoke up.

'Will you hurry up and find these damn things already! This strange storm in the middle of the desert is making my shell itch. Something isn't right.'

How ironic. A giant talking turtle wanting to get out of a rainstorm. Kirito couldn't resist responding to this one. 'You're a giant turtle. Shouldn't you be enjoying the rain instead of being scared of it?' He had a strange gleam in his eyes as he walked along the desert, trying to search out these demon kangaroos.

'This is no time for jokes boy! I'm telling you something isn't right. We aren't he only ones on this mission. I sense a malevolent chakra that displeases me. You should happy to know that the 7 tails girl is somewhere nearby as well.'

So, Hikari had adjusted to this new world and was even taking mission requests now huh? Kirito was glad to hear that. He had hoped that she would be ok after he had left her in the village. Isobu's words did have a troublesome note to them though. What was this malevolent chakra he sensed? Hopefully it was one of his teammates. The guy that had given this mission did say Kirito would be working with two others on this but he didn't say who they were, only that he was to meet them in this desert close to where he was now. The wind had started to pick up and the rain was drenching Kirito, making it hard for him to see and dampening his clothes to such a degree that he was nearly freezing. He mentally smacked himself for not being prepared for this. 'Hey Isobu, anything you can do to keep this rain off of me? Its freezing now!'

'Hmph. I am not some kind of in-house water shield you know. I maybe a turtle but my powers are limited. Just be thankful you aren't dead. Now shut up and go find something to fight so I'm not so bored.'

Still such a grump. That was ok, Kirito could deal with the rain. He soon saw a man sitting on a rock tossing kunai in the air and watching them be carried by the wind to stick in the ground. This man must be the first of his teammates. At the mere sight of the man, Kubikiribocho trembled on his back and Kirito could feel Isobu's intense uneasiness. This man must have been that malevolent chakra he felt. Who was he? No matter. Kirito walked up to stop 4 meters away from the man. [b]"Hello. Are you one of my teammates to retrieve the demon kangaroos? My name is Kirito Senju. I don't believe we have met before." he said as friendly as he could be. Isobu snarled in his mind and Kubikiribocho trembled even more fierce on his back as Kirito awaited a response from the robed individual.

"One demon two demon three demon four. How many demons does it take to break down a door" said Kanga out aloud. Kanga had started working on rhymes." Five demon six demon seven demon eight. How many demons can break the gate. Nine demon ten demon. How many demons can kill two people " screamed Kanga really loud directed at the three people he saw. Kanga jumped towards the two people and saw a man sitting on a rock with another man in front of him. Coming right on the side of the man standing Kanga screamed" LEAF GALE TAKE THAT YOU LOWLY HUMAN SCUM ". Kanga's left leg rose and attempted to kick the man in the temple. If that did not work Kanga will lie on the ground playing dead.

Whatever the other Kangaroo name was saw his fellow clan member fake dead. Roo did the same falling on the ground face first

Arc's brain saw the world in slow motion.   the whirling dagger spinning up in the air the entrance of a young man and off in the distance a young female.  

"They are both Jinchuriki like you.  though their beasts are inferior to me.- SHut up Kurama"  a voice burst into Arcanis's mind.  The newcomer Arc had heard before...Long ago.  "Stop thinking so loud you pansy..."  the voice screamed in his head.  "Anyway thanks for letting Kurama give you some power that allows me to help you out too.  Pfff as if.  I JUST WANT TO KILL SHIT."

Arc's mind was overridden and his actions were taken over by his other mind.  "Name's Wrath by the way."  Arc's Body, aka Wrath slapped the patch on his shoulder and summoned the armor that was stored in the seal on his shoulder.  "ALL OUT OR NOTHING AT ALL"  Kurama sensed the enemy before it even materialized and Wrath already triggered the Flying Thunder god to appear next to the knife that was only a meter from where the one demon was materialising to attack the pretty girl. Wrath appeared between the girl and the demon facing the girl he smiled at her as he trigger the FTG jutsu again....this time taking a passenger along with him.  The demon had appeared and  while screaming, collided with his back.  Wrath used his jutsu the moment they touched.

Wrath in the True form of a psychopathic killer of demons reappeared next to the spinning knife as it fell toward the other demon.  The smaller demon was still behind him and the two of them were horizontal right above the larger demon whose body was still stretched horizontally trying to kick Arcanis who was as described....no longer there.  The demons would then be lined up to be impaled by the Sword of evil's bane in Wrath's right hand.  sliding the sword past his ear, without touching his ear, the sword would penetrate both of the kangaroo's heads without any resistance.  this would be done at a speed of 75.

Kirito never received an answer to his question. Instead, a lot of things seemed to happen at once. He heard a familiar voice yelling and Isobu sensed the presence of the demon kangaroos just as the man sitting before Kirito vanished instantly from his sight. He didn't have time to worry about that right now. 'Isobu are you ready? You finally get that entertainment you've been craving so badly.' he said to the three tails in his mind as he reached for the hilt of Kubikiribocho over his right shoulder and brought it down in front of him while simultaneously activating his Bijuu cloak. It started at his head, a transparent light red cloak of chakra began to form covering his head in a shape vaguely reminiscent of the giant turtle residing inside of him. It crept down his entire body, covering his arms and shaping into a form over Kirito's back resembling a shell with three tails growing from the base of the shell. Kubikiribocho trembled with delight at the oncoming battle before them.

'Do not let these two show you up boy. I will not have my Jinchuuriki put to shame by the likes of Chomei and Kurama. I will grant you this power for the battle.'

Suddenly Kirito could feel his chakra cloak boiling like never before, the handle of Kubikiribocho grew red hot in his grip. His cloak tightened around him, becoming blood red. The shell on his back was clearly defined now and one of his three tails had become just as bloody red as the rest of his cloak. Only two tails remained the semitransparent red they had been just moments before. The sudden immense burst of chakra had formed a crater underneath Kirito with a radius of 5 meters, Kirito being in the center. He could feel Isobu's emotions overflowing from his oceanic cage in Kirito's mind and overwhelming his thoughts and clouding his judgement. His vision was tinted red, Kubikiribocho was trembling so much in his hands Kirito could actually feel how much it craved those demon kangaroos blood all over it.

Suddenly the world before him became dark for an instant and then he was standing on top of an ocean looking at Isobu, the giant turtle. 'What the hell Isobu!? You picked the worst time to try and take over you know that.' This was really getting out of hand. Kirito had thought that he had been getting on really well with Isobu lately. Kirito was still in control of his body for now though. However the most he could do was keep it from moving. 'Hey I was getting bored cooped up in this damn cage. You wanted to use my power right? Now you have it, if you can learn to control it that is. Prove yourself worthy of me boy.'

That really pissed Kirito off. Kirito being pissed off of course, made everything worse. He felt his arms spread out to either side, swinging Kubikiribocho in his right hand and he opened his mouth to roar louder than anything he had heard before. His body charged forward at a speed of 69 flailing Kubikiribocho around and screaming in a roar. Kirito had lost control of his body and it was going on a rampage.

Kanga and roo had gotten up and started charging straight at this strange hooded girl as she ran at them screaming like a maniac with a sword. Just as they reached 4 meters away, a man appeared in front of them just long enough for kanga to run into the man and roo run into Kanga. What happened next was too quick for them to register. All they knew was they were nowhere near where they had originally been and a swords was being thrust through their heads. "Curse-" was the last thing out of Kanga's mouth before her and her son's lives ended.

Arcanis saw the whole thing.  He woke up in a pool of blood and  gore that Wrath had created and Kurama seemed to have enjoyed himself enough to not comment about once Arc had regained his faclties.  Arc stood up and wiped the sand of his robes the thick blood and infinite abount of sand made the action pointless but it was gross none the less. The power radiating from behind him made Arcanis pause.  Turning he saw one of his Allies in a sort of uncontrollable state much like the state he was sure he was in a moment ago.  He was sure he was out of harms way but then the girl appeared behind her supposed ally and did something unspeakable.  It was common knowledge between men that the worst thing you could do to them is to give them a blow to the family jewels.  Arc's own crotch got tight at the idea of how much pain the guy must be in.  It also angered Arc that the girl had no restraint when it came to dealing with her allies.  Arcanis would make sure to stay far away from her.  Trust was key in the ninja world this girl was not the most trust worthy.  With another cringe Arcanis bent down and touched the two kangaroo corpses and then stood preforming a high speed collection of his Daggers.  The fight was over no point in standing around.  But Arc had not said a word during the mission and he doubted that now would be a good time to start.  

He would stand watching as the blood was washed into the sand by the rain.  Likely the deed would never be detectable being the rain and shifting sands would likely eliminate all evedence.  Looking down at the corpses Arc wondered how anyone could find that appetizing.  Then again anything before being cleaned and prepared looked disgusting.  Arc ate a lot of fruits and vegetables.  Arc slid his sword back into it's home after cleaning it thoroughly.  A good swordsman knew to keep his weapon properly maintained.  He didn't want the blade to rust or to be dulled by particles in the sheath.  Then he simply stood there.  He watched the other two through the rain and waited for the mission to complete it's self.

Kirito had little to no knowledge of what was happening outside of his mind anymore. He could sense Kurama's intense chakra return to normal but Chomei's still seemed to be ready for something about 50 meters away from him. Kirito hoped that it wasn't him she was about to attack althouh he knew it probably was. He hated not being able to actually see what was going on and not having control over his body. He stood atop the ocean in his mind looking at the giant turtle that was in front of him. Isobu seemed to be enjoying himself which gave Kirito a weird sense of joy on top of his current annoyance and anger. It seemed to him like his mission was nearly complete now but he had been less than useless. Since the moment those demon kangaroos had appeared he had been in this advanced bijuu cloak state, unable to control his own actions. He thought he might have to even fight this damn turtle in order to regain control. He certainly hoped that wasn't the case. Suddenly he felt a wall of coral surround Kirito's body at a speed of 50 in a circle just big enough to keep his body inside. Apparently Isobu had sensed something because just 1 second after the coral was formed, Chomei's chakra had vanished and appeared behind Kirito's real body almost instantly.

'Alright Isobu you've had your fun. Return control of my body to me right now.' he would say to the 3 tails in front of him. Isobu sneered at him, or at least it looked like he sneered. It was hard to tell with his face. 'If you want your body back you're going to have to take it from me boy. Show me you are worthy of my power. If this is all it takes to make you rampage I will be free of you in no time.' So it seemed Kirito would have to fight Isobu in some way. His blade, Kubikiribocho had suddenly appeared in his right hand which he then lowered in front of him to grip with his left as well so as to better handle the sword. A blood red cloak began to form around his psuedo-body exactly the same as the one around his real one. At least he still had the same abilities he did with his actual body. That was good to know. Kirito opened his mouth and roared at the giant turtle. His cloak bubbled and boiled and Kubikiribocho was tinged red hot where his hands gripped the hilt. Apparently the same effects applied in here as well. That as something Kirito wasn't pleased about. Kirito moved his sword quickly to his left side, still grasping it with both hands. He gathered all of his chakra in his feet so as to help him move even faster. He began to run at Isobu, planning to try and do SOME damage to him with his Executioner's Blade. He had managed to get 5 meters from the giant turtle when suddenly both Kirito and Isobu had stopped in their tracks in pain. Kirito promptly dropped his sword and fell over sideways to his left. He curled up in the fetal position, tears of pain streaming down his cheeks. It had felt like he had just been hit by Thor's hammer. Isobu yowled in pain and retreated back into his shell. Apparently whatever had just happened affected the both of them equally. Kirito's vision tinted red and then went momentarily black. Had he somehow passed out?

When his vision cleared slightly, he was still curled up in pain, only he was now curled up on the damp desert floor. Apparently his real body had mirrored his psuedo-body's actions. He could feel that his Bijuu cloak had also disappeared. He felt his cheeks wet with a mixture of tears and rain. He might be in excruciating pain but whatever happened seemed to have helped him regain control of his body again. He laid there a short while longer until the pain was bearable enough for him to move again. He slowly uncurled himself, turning over onto his hands and knees to catch hi breath. He stood up slowly to see Hikari standing in front of him. Had it been her that stopped his rampage? How much had she grown since he had last seen her. He was clearly the stronger of the two last time they met but this girl was completely different from then. She was surrounded by a purple chakra cloak, 8 strange balls floating behind her and her eyes were a strange whitish color with no pupil almost reminiscent of the Hyuga clan's byakugan. After getting over his initial shock at Hikari's appearance, he would say [b]"Was...Was it...you? Were.. you the one....that stopped my rampage?"

'It was obviously her that kicked us in the family jewels you idiot!' Isobu growled in Kirito's mind, obviously angered beyond belief at the turn of events. 'Shut up Isobu. You aren't allowed to comment after the stunt you just pulled. Just be grateful I was stopped before my attack struck. I'm still considering coming back in there and kicking your ass you know. So stay quiet!' Kirito was pissed at his currently unwelcome house guest. Isobu could have caused him to harm his comrades or worse. That was not something he took lightly. For now he decided he would deal with the Sanbi later and focus on finishing the current mission. That was his first priority.

Arc had no reason to stick around to watch the two fight with each other.  He had completed the mission is a record amount of time...He felt like it took forever.  Arc was a very patient man.  However,  When it came to goofing off he had no time for it.  In Arc's head he would smile not outwardly but inwardly.  He actually had all the time in the world.  It turned out that the trip to this world had left him with a strange side effect.  It was as if time had decided he was a necessity.  He didn't age but then again he still got wounded.  He was not particularly durable but he healed normally and then he just would not age like normal people.  This however did present problems.  If arc were to marry his wife would grow old and die without him changing in the slightest.  But Arc swore that his primary concern was the state of the world and not his own personal life.  On top of that the longer he had here without aging the longer he could find a way back and continue his life in the other existance.  

Hikari walked over and crouched down taking the bodies of the targets back to their destination and the resolution of their quest.  Arc looked at Kirito and shook his head in pity

Kirito begrudgingly thanked Hikari for the help before she up and disappeared using her space-time ninjutsu that allowed her to teleport. The man that had apparently taken out the kangaroos had also disappeared into thin air after momentarily shaking his head at Kirito. Was he the only one unable to teleport? That hardly seemed fair. He would have to track down that strange man and somehow convince him to teach Kirito his teleportation ninjutsu. Its too bad he had no idea where to start looking. 'Hey Sanbi. Any chance you have some kind of teleportation ability you could share with me? And if not do you know where I can track down that guy? You did say he as Kurama's Jinchuuriki.' Kirito knew it was a long shot and he was still pissed at the damn turtle for interfering but it was better than nothing.

'Even if I could help you what makes you think I would boy!? You have no right to call yourself my Jinchuuriki.'

Whatever, at least he tried. Kirito begrudgingly turned back and headed home.
