Basic Information
Name: Kozai Rinku
Age: 22
Birthday: March 10
Gender: Male
Appearance:
- Spoiler:
Personality: Kozai is a calm person, and somewhat confident. Not, however, confident to the point where he would fight any opponent because he feels that he can beat them using "the power of will and friendship". He is rather cautious, unless the opponent is someone he knows he can beat. Normally, Kozai is a stoic, expressionless fellow, smiling only in select situations. When he's not in battle, he often finds himself in socially or sexually awkward positions, of no fault of his own. Secretly, he's also a picky eater, and often chooses to dine at a single, specific location that serves just the kind of food he likes.
History: Kozai Rinku was born to the same woman that had given birth to Kikato some two years before. After his mother was found smiling and mysteriously dead of unknown causes ( an event so shocking it caused his hair to turn permanently white), he entered the ninja academy at the age of four. While in the academy, Kozai's gloom spread like a cloud, so he was encouraged to train alone.
As a genin, he stood out from the others, somehow becoming ever stronger without the help of his teammates. Without his friends, he became a socially awkward outcast. His path to unlocking his doujutsu, however, was brutally interrupted by the space-time event that caused him to gain dark, new powers while also giving him his first friend, the dragon Kurona.
These powers brought him attention, whether wanted or not. Soon, he went up in the ranks, so that his abilities might be used better for the village.

The mission assignments were coming up soon, and it was a very stressful time for Kozai. Although he had studied, practiced, and trained a-plenty, he was still nervous. Then again, any young and hopeful ninja would be. After all, accomplish a mission as a shinobi was an accomplishment in and of itself. Now, only a few days before the assignments themselves, Kozai was sitting legs on the table in the library. He was doing what normal people would call “slacking” but to him was merely a part of his schedule. He was not sleeping, but organizing his thoughts and his limited memories in his head. Now, depending on which mission he was assigned, he would need to make specific preparations. For example, if administration told him to go forth and kill a large bunny-ox or something like that in the northern reaches, he would have to pack warmly. In addition, he would have to dress in dark colors, in order to take full advantage of blackbody radiation. Hmm…… snore…. Ah! No sleeping now, not when he needed to keep track of his strict schedule. He looked at the clock above the front desk…. Ah, time to go work out. “Ari? Already? Dang, I was hoping to delay that. Oh well, can’t be helped. Out we go!” He left the library and headed out to the training grounds. Here, he started off with several laps around the grounds, which didn’t take too long. Afterwards, he jogged in place a little and stretched. “Whew! Ok, let’s get down to business.” He did reps of pushups, situps, and about 2 and a half minutes of iron cross. He then sat down and had a drink of cool, fresh water. “Dang it, I won’t be able to complete hard missions if I keep doing this. Hmmmm…. Well then again, it depends on the type of mission. I’ll go and see if I can apply early.” He walked over to administration and sat down in a relatively short line. He picked up a comics magazine and read a little about some teenage punk who got a huge black cleaver-like sword with special power. Eh….. this was pathetic, it was nothing compared to the life he was living right now. “Next, please” said a voice from the desk. “Ah, hello ma’am, I was wondering what the process was for mission requesting.” “Oh, that’s easy, just sign here please, and hold on for a few minutes.” Kozai did so, and sat down again. He sighed, wondering why this process was taking so long. “Ok, we have a mission for you, sir.” “Ah, thank you.” He went home and reviewed the briefing. He then proceeded to to set up a go board representing his exact course of action and his opponents’. Indeed, he was on a mission: a mission to retrieve an artifact (some small figurine) from some audacious bandits. “Alright, time to train stealth.” He went outside in the dark, and started his training. After he got back, he giggled slightly and went to bed. The next morning, 5 children would find massively bloody and graphically inappropriate photographs. He then set out to the southwest slightly to raid the bandits. He snuck into their base, wallran past the guards while throwing kunai into the backs of their necks, and got into the storage room. In there, he threw a couple of kunai with explosive tags. The purpose of this action was twofold: Firstly, he needed to flush out any fortified troops. Secondly, he needed to break some boxes. He succeeded in both, the remaining bandits were now either dead or dying. The fools, all staying in one place. That really was tactically stupid. He looked at a trapdoor…. Maybe down there. He descended into what looked like a chamber with the figurine in the middle. “COMPLETE SUCCESS!” Without thinking, he grabbed it. All of a sudden, an immense boulder crashed through the room. Kozai ran like hell down the passageway, the boulder in hot, rocky pursuit. “AAAAAH! Dang it, I forgot! Of course it would be trapped! Ok, gotta think on the go…” He threw down an explosive tag behind him, which would throw him forward and potentially slow down the boulder. He went flying out of the cave, onto some soft moss. As he was just exiting the cave, he noticed some bandits waiting for him, so he substituted with a rock. He then sneaked back to the village. Apparently, his tree-walking jutsu and wall-running skills paid off after all.
