What it does:  


The Eight Gates.

• The Gate of Opening (開門, Kaimon), located in the brain, removes the restraints of the brain on the muscles so 100% of the user's strength can be used whereas normally, a person can only use 20% of their muscles' strength to keep them from disintegrating. Unlocking this gate allows the user to use the Front Lotus.

• The Gate of Healing (休門, Kyūmon; English TV "The Gate of Rest"), located in the brain, forcibly increases the user's physical strength and temporarily re-energises the body.

The user loses 3 health per post permanently until they do a hospital thread or are treated by medical ninjutsu.  This will not kill the user.  it will not drop their health below 1. If a ninja's health reaches 1 they are dropped out of all gates and can not access them again until they heal.
The User gains 100 CP when entering this state.

• The Gate of Life (生門, Seimon), located on the spinal cord, allows the user to use the Reverse Lotus. The increased blood flow turns the skin red.

The user loses 4 health per post permanently until they do a hospital thread or are treated by medical ninjutsu. This will not kill the user.  it will not drop their health below 1. If a ninja's health reaches 1 they are dropped out of all gates and can not access them again until they heal.
The user's nervous system is so overcharged that the brain simply turns off pain receptors.  The user can continue fighting regardless of non lethal damage.

• The Gate of Pain (傷門, Shōmon), located on the spinal cord, increases the user's speed and power. May cause muscle tissue to tear on use.

The user loses 6 health per post permanently until they do a hospital thread or are treated by a B Rank or higher medical ninjutsu. This will not kill the user.  it will not drop their health below 1. If a ninja's health reaches 1 they are dropped out of all gates and can not access them again until they heal.
Reverting back to normal after hitting this stage puts the user in a tremendous amount of pain.

• The Gate of Limit (杜門, Tomon; English TV "The Gate of Closing"), located in the abdomen, increases the user's speed and power.

The user loses 7 health per post permanently until they do a hospital thread or are treated by a B Rank or higher medical ninjutsu. This will not kill the user.  it will not drop their health below 1. If a ninja's health reaches 1 they are dropped out of all gates and can not access them again until they heal.
The user releases all limitations and ignores physical requirements of techniques or weapons that restricts the body from doing them.  This does not apply to jutsu or techniques that require a higher Gate to be opened.

• The Gate of View (景門, Keimon; English TV "The Gate of Joy"), located in the stomach, increases the user's speed and power. Opening of this gate releases such enormous amounts of energy that it can cause nearby water bodies to form a vortex around the user. Once opened, capable users can perform the Morning Peacock.

This will not kill the user.  it will not drop their health below 1. If a ninja's health reaches 1 they are dropped out of all gates and can not access them again until they heal.
Once hitting this state the user gains a physical aura that causes destructive forces to occur in close proximity of the user with a force of 50.  this can cause vortexes in water, cratering of the earth beneath their feet and also gives the user an armor of chakra with health of 50. the range of influence is only 2 meters

• The Gate of Wonder (驚門, Kyōmon; English TV "The Gate of Shock"), located below the stomach, further increases the user's speed and power. Only after this gate is activated, can a capable user perform the Daytime Tiger. Those who open this gate will secrete glowing green — blue in the anime — sweat from every inch of their body which immediately evaporates from their own heat energy, creating an aura which people mistake as a chakra coating. Unfortunately, the side effects of opening the gate are that the user's muscle fibers are ripped to shreds, causing intense pain if anything or anyone touches them.

The user loses 20 health per post permanently until they do a hospital thread or are treated by a A Rank or higher medical ninjutsu. This will not kill the user.  it will not drop their health below 1. If a ninja's health reaches 1 they are dropped out of all gates and can not access them again until they heal.
Once the user hits this state, when exiting the 7th gate the user becomes completely paralyzed as their muscles have all but disintegrated, painfully.

• The Gate of Death (死門, Shimon), located at the heart, requires the user to puncture their chest just above the heart in order to open it. Opening this gate will cause the user's blood to emanate a flaming aura of red steam from all pores of their body, hair, and eyebrows. Releasing this gate uses up all of the body's energy while making the heart pump at maximum power. Exceeding the power of every other gate, the user is granted approximately a hundred times their normal power, far beyond that of the five Kage, but comes at the expense of their life. Once activated, those who are capable can perform the Evening Elephant and the Night Guy. Under regular circumstances, the effects of opening all Eight Gates will cause the user to crumble to ash, having virtually cooked themselves from the inside-out.

When the user exits this state he loses 60 health permanently.
This Gate literally destroys the users body.  Using it grants ridiculous amounts of power but the back drop is the user permanently loses 50 health upon exiting the eighth gate.  If this dips their health below 0 they die.  If they do not seek immediate medical aid from a medical jutsu rank A or above, they die.  If they are lucky enough to survive the health points are permanatly gone.  They can't be retrained and the users max number of stats is reduced by 60.  Even a ninja as powerful as Might Guy who miraculously saved from death, opening the eighth gate removed his ability to continue being a ninja.

This is a complicated jutsu and will be monitored for abuse.  Remember Arguing with Admin will be met with no tolerance.
