History: Before the founding of the villages, the Rikouru was already a clan of pacifistic ninja monks living in what is now part of the Land of Earth. Having lived in peace and harmony for generations, when shinobi began waging wars on their territory they were powerless to deal with the violence due to lack of fighting techniques. While disliking shinobi, their monk’s creed demanded them to use violence only as a measure of defence. Instead they preferred to stay neutral during these wars, staying secluded in their mountain temples. However, they realized that violence would soon spill into their world.
This is why the head monk at the time, Rikouru Ikuchi, developed Dharma Fuuinjutsu. Having developed an understanding of chakra and its workings from a wounded shinobi they had given refuge and nurtured back to health, he used it to develop a powerful sealing method that was perfectly suited to attacking the enemy from their mountain tops.
What it does:
Dharma Fuuinjutsu is a special line of Fuuinjutsu that allows the user to manipulate and seal their chakra or manipulate existing seals through music. Different techniques are manipulated through different songs and melodies, however the main factor is that all techniques require constant production of music to sustain them. There is a wide variety of instruments that Rikouru clansmen use. With the melodies being adaptable to any possible instrument, the instrument used is based on the preference of the user.
