History: Mako (魔晄, Makō?, lit. “magic light”) is the liquid form of the Planet's Lifestream in Final Midgar. It is the world's primary energy source except for Wutai and rural areas. The Lifestream can condense into Materia or Mako Stones.
The Lifestream is a river of spiritual energy coursing through the Planet and is considered to be its "blood" and as a swell of souls, a river of the dead's memories. It is the sum of all living things on the Planet and each new life (plants, animals, and human beings) is "blessed" with spiritual energy prior to birth. Upon the organism's death, its spiritual energy returns to the Lifestream, taking with it the memories of its lifetime allowing the Lifestream as a whole to grow and the cycle to continue.
The Lifestream is extracted and processed by the Shinra Electric Power Company to create Mako energy for electricity, and for condensing it into Materia. Mako may be considered a real-life equivalent for oil, as in Midgar it is described as being removed from the Planet by Mako Reactors, used up, and then ceasing to be, but its mutagenic properties, its energy being produced in reactors, and its controversial nature suggest it is symbolic for nuclear power. It is said that the Mako extraction process would eventually lead to the Planet's death.
Shinra Electric Company Took this Mako and would Bath their SOLDIER's In it, and with this exposure Made their SOLDIER's into Mutants for lack of a better term, giving them Superhuman Strength, Locomotive Speed, and Reactive Speed.
What it does: 1st Class SOLDIER's will require 3000 wc, and must survive Several tests and missions of varying degree's, Must complete 3 S-ranked Missions, and 5 other missions of rank Equal to or greater then the SOLDIER attempting to receive this rank, if the SOLDIER can Survive the missions and the Over Exposure to Mako they get the Following Boosts upon such their eyes begin to glow noticeably a Green-Blue color, this costs C-rank per post and Cool down is posts active plus three, Five posts max to be active

2nd Class SOLDIER's will require 2000 wc, and must survive a Training Examination from a 1st Class SOLDIER, Must complete one Mission of the 1st class SOLDIER's choice equal to the rank of the 2nd Class SOLDIER or higher will be accompanied by the 1st class, as well as Survive the Exposure to Mako they will receive, Their Blue-Green eyes will begin to glow slightly ,these Boosts will be theirs to claim, costs D-rank per post active, cool down is number of posts Plus two more posts, five posts max to be active

3rd Class SOLDIER's Will require 1000 wc, and Must survive their Graduation Ceremony, Must survive their first Exposure to Mako, after which their eyes become a bluish green, if so these boost will be theirs

All SOLDIERS 2nd class and lower must wear the SOLDIER uniform according to their rank, or else be reprimanded by the 1st Class SOLDIER, and could result in A Halt in progress if not death at the hands of the 1st Class SOLDIER
