How it is used: Static release is generally used as an Area of effect type jutsu, it is often used for taijutsu as well. Users who use static release combine lightning and earth to cause friction to center a static pulse in one specific spot. When used as an area of effect the user combines the two chakra natures together into the ground which causes a field of static energy. All moves must be registered as a jutsu. This specific element nature can only be done through direct skin contact of the user, users of Static release are generally barefooted for this reason.
