Bloodline Name: Kagune & Kakugan
Originating Clan: [Only admins are allowed to see this link]Appearance: The location of the kakuhou depends on the ghoul's Rc type.
If the ghoul is an ukaku-type, the kakuhou is located at the shoulder area.
If the ghoul is a koukaku-type, the kakuhou is located below the shoulder blade.
If the ghoul is a rinkaku-type, the kakuhou is located on the back around the waist.
If the ghoul is a bikaku-type, the kakuhou is located near the tailbone.
With the appearance of these all differing from person to person.
However, A Kakugan (赫眼 Shining Eye) denotes a ghoul's eye where the pupil turns red and the sclera black. The ghoul can enter this state by their own will, but this state is also entered when the ghoul becomes excited, gets extremely hungry, or when they use their kagune. A kakugan is an influence of activated Rc cells.
Generally, a ghoul possesses two kakugans and they always activate together. If a subject possesses only one kakugan, they are a one-eyed ghoul.
History: - Kagune:
A Kagune (赫子, shining child) is a ghoul's predatory organ and functions as their weapon and claws. It is usually as red as blood; and flexible like the flow of water (Also called liquid muscle.), but firm and sturdy. When released, a ghoul's physique is strengthened, they are more resilient and their mobility heightens. A kagune is composed of Rc cells, which flow just like blood, can become as solid as teeth and can be described as "liquid muscles". The Rc cells are released from a kakuhou piercing the skin, and the released Rc cells form the kagune. A kagune can be repeatedly hardened and softened at will by the ghoul.
Although a ghoul's healing ability is high, the healing of wounds tends to be delayed if the wounds are inflicted by a kagune. Also it seems that the kagune are voluntary muscles as ghouls can control them.
- Kakuhou:
A kakuhou (赫包 Kakuhō, approximately "Shining Wrap") is a sack-like organ that is only present in ghouls. The purpose of the kakuhou is to store Rc cells. The nutrition contained in the Rc cells are absorbed by the ghoul. These cells are transported to the kakuhou in the blood and stored in there.
The Rc cells can be released from the kakuhou piercing the skin either consciously or due to excitement.
These released cells form the kagune.
A ghoul can have more than one kakuhou. In some cases, it seems that the stronger a ghoul becomes, their body develops more kakuhou, this being maxed out at five.
- Kakugan:
A Kakugan (赫眼 Shining Eye) denotes a ghoul's eye where the pupil turns red and the sclera black.
- Physical Characteristics:
Ghouls have high physical capability and are much stronger than the average human: They are able to send the average human flying if they strike with enough force and can penetrate a human's body with their bare hands. They are also able to jump several meters high.
Under normal conditions, ghouls have a high regenerative ability: Small wounds and fractures heal in a matter of seconds to a day, and even grave wounds heal after few days, as long as the ghoul has adequate food supply. They also have a tougher body than most regular solid materials. For example, if a ghoul were to be stabbed with a knife, the metal of the knife would break. Ghouls' body wouldn't get injured easily and only more keen tougher materials can injure them. A strong enough force may also be able to break their tough body.
Ghouls have better senses than humans. They can smell people or meat from afar and can tell apart humans and ghouls by their smell. They also have a heightened sense of hearing that even allows some ghouls to discern individual footsteps from far away.
Ghouls seem to age at the same rate as humans, further allowing them to blend in.
- Biology:
Ghouls have an "Rc factor" ten times higher than a human. If the average healthy human has about 200-500 Rc level, then the ghoul has about 1000-8000 Rc level. They possess an organ known as the kakuhou, from which Rc cells harden and break through the skin to form the kagune. The kagune is a hard, muscle-like protrusion described as their claws. It can take the form of a pair of sharp wings or tentacle-like appendages, a tail, or a drill-like object, depending on the ghoul's materials and his or her own Rc type. It is possible for a ghoul to have develop another, usually armor-like, kagune as part of the mutation caused by eating another ghoul. Ghouls also have an identifying feature known as a Kakugan, an affliction manifesting in the eyes as red pupils surrounded by black sclera. A ghoul's kakugan can appear either by their own will, due to hunger or from using their kagune.
Ghouls have a liking for human meat, but it is not uncommon for them to cannibalize one another. Ghoul meat is considered coarse and disgusting but it has the merits of being an alternative food source and increases a ghoul's Rc levels to the point of mutation, evolving their kagune's overall strength. Occasionally, cannibalistic ghouls gain through this mutation an armor-like kagune besides the predatory kagune that ghouls commonly possess, turning them into kakujas. Therefore, you cannot simply transfer a humans organs into a ghouls so that they can also survive the transplanting of organs, unless you have a medical jutsu that allows the replacement of the original users organs as they were a ghoul MUST die for another one to be born through that method.
The Rc factor is a measure for the amount of Rc cells in the body of a living being. Ghouls have an "Rc factor" ten times higher than humans. The average healthy human has an Rc factor of about 200 to 500, while a ghoul has an Rc factor of about 1000 to 8000. If, for whatever reason, a normal human receives an excessive amount of Rc cells, such as through experiments, they will start to develop ghoul-like characteristics and eventually not be able to consume human food.
What it does: This bloodline gives a passive stat boost to normal ghouls of +one rank to strength and +1 rank to health, whereas if you are a natural born one eyed ghoul you will receive a passive boost of +2 ranks to strength and +2 ranks to health.
People that have this bloodline from transplants do not receive these passive boost.
Kakugan – give a passive boost of +one rank to willpower because of the additional layer of seeming substance that covers the user’s eye. Even one eyed ghouls naturally born receive this boost. (Requires 1k word count to obtain this to be used at will and not just when using a kagune.)
Smell: As for smell Ghouls can smell that of animals, humans, and other ghouls up to 50 meters away and can even discern whether it is a ghoul or human. (Must use 1k word count to obtain this.)
Hearing: Ghouls are known to be able to hear sounds clearly even from over 20 meters away and if trained properly this can even be increased to that of 50 meters being able to even discern that of footsteps of different people. (For 25 meters 1k word count is needed for 50 meters 2k word count is needed.)
Healing Factor: Wounds that happen on a minor level will heal in one post as major wounds will heal passively in three post. This however, does not let you gain back the health you have lost from these injuries this merely allows you not to be completely slowed down by these wounds. However, if you are to say eat human flesh during a post these wounds and the health can be regained but it has to be a large chunk of the targets flesh. This being a piece of the shoulder, part of the face, things of this volume.
Requirements:Pregnancy:
Naturally-born hybrids are extremely rare. The chance of pregnancy is low, and even if the mother becomes pregnant, the child normally dies during pregnancy: If the mother is a human, the child will not get necessary nutrients and will starve to death. If the mother is a ghoul, the mother's body will mistake the child for food and reabsorb it. However, there are rumors that a naturally-born one-eyed ghoul exists, this is only possible if the mother is human and they eat human flesh to give the child nutrients so they can survive. However, seeing as this is a rather rare thing anyone would be okay with there are only three one – eyed ghoul spots open from natural birth.
Kakuhou Transplant:
The primary method of creating One-Eyed Ghouls is through transplanting a Kakuhou into a human recipient, an exceptionally high-risk procedure. In the rare event that the operation is successful, the human patient develops into an artificial hybrid with all the abilities of a normal Ghoul. (This as well as organ transplant only have 25% success rate.)
Organ transplant:
This is transplanting most of the organs of a ghoul into a human which has a 25% success rate at being successful.
Side note: rolls for these must be done with a four sided dice with only one number counting as a success
The requirements to achieve these bloodlines is 1000 words to unlock full control of the Kakugan.
As for the requirements to achieve you must first get them approved as a jutsu and then train it based on the rank of which you are making it these being anywhere from C – SS rank
