Magic Keywords

This will be an ongoing project.  The idea is to keyword certain abilities and make them standard as abilities that magic cards have and translate that into NAP rules.  That way we have a standard just like MTG does.

This is how it will work.  This will be the topic to post suggestions in. A Mod will approve it and add it to the glossary of terms.

Effect the Keyword has:

Mods when adding a key word add the URL that includes the numbers at the end for the link to jump straight to that post.  if you haven't noticed yet links that have #XXXX will go to that topic and jump to that post.  there are a couple ways to do it. easiest is to post then immediately copy the url and then edit it into the post.  this will be needed as Jutsu with Keywords are required to have a link directly to the keyword.

these key words need exact number based effects that would be added to jutsu. Taika please add duration cooldown speed power and the like. needs specific rules not just a brainstormed Idea.

still not quite there. this is going to be an effect that is added to jutsu such as "Regenerate: after casting this jutsu the first lethal damage that is done until your next post is completely negated. Regeneration is applied at the speed of x and the target becomes immune to regenerate effects for 1 post" something like that

you started strong then you countradicted yourself

it's either all lethal damage is legated or only the first lethal damage....can't be both. in the spirit of magic I would suggest it only be the first time or else that would be temporary indestructibility.

Keyword: Flying

Effect the Keyword has: Able to move through the air in some manner at a speed of their speed. other details provided by the jutsu

Approving Regeneration

Keyword: Mill X

Effect the Keyword has: The target chooses X jutsu they know.  Until the end of the topic they are unable to use those jutsu.  Resistances and speeds depend on the jutsu. Resist stat is willpower

Keyword: Discard X

Effect the Keyword has: Discard 1 allows the opponent to only use 6 jutsu in the next post.  Each count of discard lowers that number by one Discard 7 is the max limiting the opponent to 0 jutsu.  this applies to passive jutsu with upkeeps as well.  resists and speeds are dependent on the jutsu. Resit stat is willpower.

Keyword: Fear

Effect the Keyword has: The opponent is incapable of doing any actions other than those resembling terror. ie puking crying cowering screaming or running away, other things are exceptable but the opponent is incapable of fighting.  This is normally an effect applied after a resist is failed.

Keyword: Unsummon

Effect the Keyword has: Forcibly desummons something that was summoned. this allows for the resummoning but only by respending the resources. resist stat is strength

Keyword: Lifelink

Effect the Keyword has: Increases the users health by the amount of damage this jutsu or object does. it has to deal the damage but the opponent doesn't have to take damage. (example: a fire ball with lifelink and 10 power is thrown at Bret health of 100. the fire ball does not hurt Bret but it does increase the casters health by 10.)
