Thunder Rolling In

Roland sat under a tree, in his hands was a simple knife sharp enough to cut the flesh from the apple upon which he supped this day. Turning the fruit over he contemplated the events of the day, but still he could not shake the feeling that something was wrong. Not that he would wish to do much about it, he had long since grown to think of Umi not as a home, but just a place. It was like this when the invasion came, for some odd reason he was not roused to it, no doubt 'The Master' had fled and looked for another hive to settle his poison into. Still, it mattered not and as the young boy ate of the apple he felt tiny sprinkles on his skin. It had begun to rain.

The wind blew gusts of garbage and paper throughout the streets below as shouts began to pick up, in truth all this did was bore Roland even more. It was a numb sensation, for as much as he hated this village, it was still his, and there was nothing he could do.

Pain stated at the young boy from a distance should he approach the boy in his body or with the body of his path. On his side was Pain's path staring at the boy he spoke out of the mouth of his path saying " young boy tell me why are you sad ". Pain was only a eighteen yeaenold but sometimes he acted like an adult or even a child.


The small boy looked like the age of thirthteen " What clan are you from amd what is your name " asked Pain agan

"Sad would not be the word I would utilize in describing the emotional output of myself, it is too melancholy for that" Roland said this as he regarded the two men who spoke with near the same voice, who moved near the same, and whom's eyes were exactly the same and he knew immediately that he was in the presence of one person, an extremely powerful ninjutsu practitioner from the looks of it. Eating a slice of apple, he made another quick cut with his blade, the young boy had control over all the muscles in his body and thus he knew exactly when to apply more force and cause the piece of apple to fly at the one whom spoke last. Roland assumed that the first sentence was telepathically sent, or something akin to that and the one on the left was the actual person, it was to this that Roland sent the apple to. Whether he was correct or not he could not care, he was already focused on answering.

"Roland Otsutsuki, fire eater, and hunter of the damned. It is nice to meet you Sorcerer, if you would be so kind as to introduce yourself in return I would be delighted. It has been a while since I've met anyone with formal manners" his voice was soft, and quiet but inside of it there was a cord like a piano wire. Thin but deadly, it was off putting to most people with the intellect to pick up on it, but Roland's favorites never did mind that edge.

Moving his hand at the speed of 100 Pain caught the Apple slice and sending his path away. Pain took interest I'm the young boy because he takes like a adult and figured out which person was the real one. Pain smiled a the boy and introduced his self " I am Pain Uchiha First Mizukage Former Head of the Uchiha Clan Savior of this world and the Second Sage of Six Paths. You are an Otsutsuki which is my distant relative clan so in some way we are both related ".

The boy was intriguing to the point where Pain took aot of interest in him maybe he would become an actual student of his." Please Is am no sorceror " said Pain

'So those are the Rinnegan then, one would assume' Roland thought to himself, his lower face mask blocking the small grin that crept upon his face. He knew just a few things about Uchihas, one being that they sought power, like moths to a flame. "So, you are to save this world? Would it be presumptuous to ask what from? The constant fighting, famine, pestilence, or the weak?" at the last part his tone dropped fully into the discord that up until then ran thinly through his speech. The last two words were spoke with a venom that indicated his disgust at that prospect. He ignored the part of not being a sorcerer, it was simply due to his rustiness in the non-archaic tongue that such a misunderstanding was brought to head in the first place.

"Regardless, as long as you can finally lead this village in a correct direction, that would be enough for me to don you with the title Savior." Roland's tone returned to it's normal state with this sentence.
